OFFICIAL RULES - UNBROKEN GIVEAWAY AT TREK STORES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. Sponsor
The sponsor of this giveaway is UNBROKEN RTR B.V., 1e Sweelinckstraat 34, 2517 GD ’s-Gravenhage, Netherlands (the “Sponsor”, “we”, “us”, “our”). The giveaway is administered by the Sponsor. The participating Trek stores listed in clause 2 act solely as prize collection points and do not organise, administer, or sponsor the giveaway.
2. Participating Stores
This giveaway (the “Giveaway”) runs at the following Trek stores, each a “Participating Store”:
- Barcelona, Spain
- Bicester, United Kingdom
- Girona, Spain
- Lausanne, Switzerland
- Munich North, Germany
- Nijmegen, Netherlands
Each Participating Store runs its own draw. You may only enter and win at a Participating Store via the QR code displayed in that store. Country-specific terms in clause 14 apply to each store according to its location and, where they conflict with the general terms, the country-specific terms prevail for that store.
3. Giveaway Period
The Giveaway begins on [start date] and ends at 23:59 CEST on 8 August 2026 (the “Giveaway Period”). The Sponsor’s computer system is the official timekeeping device for the Giveaway. Entries received after the close of the Giveaway Period will not be eligible. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or technically corrupted entries.
4. Eligibility
- The Giveaway is open to individuals who, at the time of entry, are 18 years of age or older (or the age of majority in their country of residence, if higher) and resident in the country of the Participating Store at which they enter.
- Entry is free and no purchase is necessary. A purchase will not improve an entrant’s chance of winning.
- Employees, officers, directors, contractors and agents of the Sponsor and of the Participating Stores, their parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, and the immediate family and household members of any of them, and anyone professionally connected with the Giveaway, are not eligible.
- The Giveaway is subject to all applicable laws and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
- By entering, each entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Giveaway.
5. How to Enter
To enter, eligible entrants must, during the Giveaway Period:
- scan the QR code displayed in a Participating Store, which links to the Giveaway entry page for that store; and
- complete the entry form by providing their first name, surname and a valid email address, and submitting the form to confirm they wish to enter.
Entrants may separately and optionally choose to subscribe to the Unbroken newsletter by checking the dedicated newsletter consent box. Subscribing to the newsletter is not required to enter or win and will not increase any entrant’s chances of winning.
Limit: one (1) entry per person per Participating Store during the Giveaway Period. Entrants may enter at more than one Participating Store, but may win only one (1) prize in total across the Giveaway. The use of multiple email addresses, automated entry methods, bots, scripts, or any other attempt to obtain more entries than permitted may result in disqualification at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
6. Prizes
At each Participating Store there are four (4) winners, and the following prizes (each a “Prize”) are awarded:
- One (1) winner: one (1) official Lidl-Trek jersey signed by the riders, plus four (4) tubes of Unbroken.
- Three (3) winners: one (1) signed Unbroken bottle, plus four (4) tubes of Unbroken, each.
The approximate retail value of the Prizes per Participating Store is 200 €. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. No substitution is permitted except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion; the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a Prize with one of equal or greater value if the advertised Prize becomes unavailable for any reason. Any taxes on Prizes are handled as set out in clause 14; any other costs associated with accepting or using a Prize are the winner’s responsibility.
7. Winner Selection
For each Participating Store, four (4) winners will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received for that store during the Giveaway Period. The draws will take place on or about 10 August 2026. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received per store. Draws will be conducted in a verifiable and impartial manner.
8. Winner Notification and Claim
Winners will be notified by email on 10 August 2026 at the address provided at entry. A winner may be required to provide information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and arrange the Prize, such as full name and, where applicable, proof of age and identity.
A winner must respond within 5 business days of the notification being sent. If a winner does not respond within that period, is found ineligible, fails to provide required information, declines the Prize, or if the notification is undeliverable, the Sponsor may disqualify that entrant and draw an alternate winner from the remaining eligible entries for that store. The Sponsor is not responsible for notifications that are delayed, misdirected, filtered as spam, or otherwise not received.
9. Prize Collection
- Prizes must be collected in person at the same Participating Store at which the winner entered. Prizes are not posted or delivered.
- To enable collection, the Sponsor will provide the relevant Participating Store with the winner’s first name and surname only, for the sole purpose of identifying the winner and handing the Prize to the correct person. No data of non-winning entrants is shared with the stores. Winners should bring photo ID.
- Prizes must be collected by 10 September 2026. Prizes not collected by that date may be forfeited.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
The Sponsor (see clause 1) is the data controller for the personal data provided at entry. Data collected: first name, surname and email address.
- Purpose and lawful basis: the data is processed to administer the Giveaway, select and notify winners and arrange Prize collection, on the basis of the Sponsor’s legitimate interest in running the Giveaway; and, for the optional newsletter, on the basis of consent.
- Sharing: only the first name and surname of winners is shared with the relevant Participating Store, solely to verify identity at collection. No other personal data is shared.
- Marketing: entering does not subscribe you to marketing. Newsletter consent is separate and optional and may be withdrawn at any time without affecting your entry.
- Retention: entrant data is kept only as long as necessary to run the Giveaway and meet legal obligations, and is then deleted, by 60 days after the Giveaway Period.
- Your rights and contact: you may access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, or port your data by contacting info@eu.unbrokenrtr.com. The full privacy notice is here.
- Applicable data law: for entrants at EU Participating Stores, the EU GDPR and national implementing law apply, and you may complain to your national supervisory authority. For entrants at the Lausanne store, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) applies and the Swiss FDPIC is the competent authority. For entrants at the Bicester store, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply and the UK ICO is the competent authority.
11. General Conditions
The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, breaches these Official Rules, or acts in a manner that may damage the Giveaway or the Sponsor. If the Giveaway cannot be conducted as planned for any reason beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, including fraud, technical failure, tampering, or force majeure, the Sponsor may cancel, suspend, modify or terminate the Giveaway. Any change will be posted on the Giveaway entry page.
12. Release and Limitation of Liability
By entering, entrants release the Sponsor, the Participating Stores, and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs or expenses arising out of participation in the Giveaway or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a Prize. Nothing in these Official Rules limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
13. Third-Party Disclaimer
The Giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Trek beyond the role of the Participating Stores as prize collection points described in these terms. Where the Giveaway is promoted on social media platforms (including Meta, Facebook and Instagram), it is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with those platforms, and entrants provide their information to the Sponsor and not to any platform.
14. Country-Specific Provisions
These provisions adapt the Giveaway to local law at each Participating Store and prevail over the general terms where they conflict.
Spain
– In-kind prizes only trigger a withholding-on-account (“ingreso a cuenta”) above the 300 € per-prize threshold. As each Prize here is under 300 €, no withholding is due and no Spanish fiscal representative is needed for that purpose.
– The full rules (bases) must be clear and made available to entrants; data processing complies with the GDPR and the AEPD’s guidance.
Switzerland
– As a short-term promotional draw with a free entry route, the Giveaway falls outside the Swiss Money Gaming Act and requires no licence. Collection of a Prize is not conditional on any purchase, premium-rate call, or payment (Unfair Competition Act).
– Promotional-draw winnings are tax-exempt up to CHF 1,000 (about 1,050 €). Each Prize here is far below that, so no tax arises for winners.
– Switzerland is outside the EU/EEA: the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) applies to entrants at this store, as noted in clause 10.
Germany
– Free prize draws (“Gewinnspiele”) are permitted with no licence or registration; participation is not coupled to any purchase.
– These Official Rules serve as the Teilnahmebedingungen and must remain transparent (UWG). Data processing complies with the GDPR and the German BDSG. No prize tax arises for winners on a promotional prize of this value.
Netherlands
– As the Sponsor’s home market, this leg is a promotional game of chance under the Dutch Code of Conduct (Gedragscode Promotionele Kansspelen): the total annual prize value per promoter must stay within 100,000 €, the draw must be objective and verifiable, and a complaints route must be available.
– Gambling tax (kansspelbelasting) of 37.8% (from 1 January 2026) only applies to Prizes valued over 449 €. As each Prize here is around 200 € or less, no kansspelbelasting is due.
United Kingdom
– With genuinely free entry and no purchase necessary, the Giveaway is a lawful free prize draw and not a lottery under the Gambling Act 2005; no licence is required.
– These Official Rules follow the CAP Code: closing date, eligibility, entry method, prize details, and how and when winners are selected and notified are all stated. UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply, as noted in clause 10. No prize tax arises for the winner on a genuine free-draw prize.
15. Disputes and Governing Law
Except where prohibited by applicable law, these Official Rules and any dispute relating to the Giveaway are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection and data-protection rights an entrant has under the law of their country of residence, and to the country-specific provisions in clause 14. Any dispute shall be resolved individually and not as part of any class or representative action, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
