After years of playing professional basketball internationally, Nimrod Hilliard IV came to Iceland for the final chapter of his professional career. At 31, competing against younger players meant recovery mattered more than ever. Unbroken became part of how he looked after his body, recovered between sessions and stayed ready to compete.
Keeping up with the next generation
Professional basketball places relentless demands on the body. Training, games, travel and repeated high-intensity efforts leave limited time to recover before it is time to perform again.
For Nimrod, those demands took on a different perspective as an experienced player competing alongside and against a younger generation. At 31, he knew that maintaining his performance wasn't only about how hard he could train. How well he recovered mattered too.
That is where he says Unbroken made a noticeable difference.
“I need to keep up with the younger players. Since I started taking Unbroken, muscle soreness has drastically reduced, and I feel younger and more energised.”
Recovery that helped him keep competing
Nimrod's professional basketball career took him internationally before eventually bringing him to Iceland, his final destination before retiring from the professional game.
By that stage of his career, taking care of his body was an important part of continuing to train and compete at the level he expected of himself.
For Nimrod, Unbroken became part of that process. He used it around the demands of professional basketball and says it helped him both in training and competition.
“It’s helped me recover faster and stay strong, whether in training or competition.”
His experience is a reminder that longevity in sport isn't simply about continuing to push harder. It is also about giving the body the support it needs to recover and come back ready to perform again.
Years of professional basketball. One final chapter in Iceland.
